Founder

Phil has been a copywriter and entrepreneur for over 35 years, working in the UK, Germany and Switzerland. He founded CONTEXT in 2009 in Geneva, bringing an ‘international agency’ model to copywriting. Phil divides his time between the UK and Switzerland.

Mary Appleton

Editorial Director

Mary is an award-winning writer and editor specialising in work, talent and leadership. She has led publications in HR and education across the UK and Middle East. She helps CONTEXT craft compelling content that inspires and drives change.

Tom Sands

Film & Video Director

Tom is a producer/director with over 15 years’ experience across corporate, commercial, documentary and dramatic content. He has directed five award-winning feature films and worked with major brands including Aviva, SAP and Coca-Cola.
